| The film, which involves survival, innocence, love betrayal and ruthlessness, explores the relationship between Queen Elizabeth I and Sir Walter Raleigh. A sequel to the 1998 film Elizabeth, the Queen's reign from 1558 to 1603 is often referred to as the 'Golden Age' in English history being the fifth and final monarch of the Tudor dynasty. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, Cate Blanchette will star as Elizabeth and Clive Owen Sir Walter Raleigh. |
